Decisions....decisions

The big decision on my mind these days is whether or not to attend my 20th class reunion.

I just received the ‘official’ Evite and found out that we’re having a DJ, open bar for the first hour, and appetizers – all for $60 per person.
Now, I’m not a cheap-skate, but that seems like a lot of money to me. Am I crazy?
I’ve heard from a few of my fellow classmates who feel the same way, so I don’t think it’s just me.

I’d love to attend and have the chance to see everyone again in person (as opposed to facebook) and I’m sure I’d have a good time – but yikes, that just seems like a lot of money to me…..especially if Jim wants to come along. I was talking to my sister about it and she said “Just go…..you’ll have a great time and I’m sure everyone will want to see you.” She’s probably right. There’s really no way to ‘escape’ it – especially since I’ve been in touch with a bunch of classmates recently, to suddenly not show up at the reunion would be weird.

Hmmmm……I’ll have to talk more about it with Jim. I’ll leave it up to him if he wants to join me. He’s met several of my classmates, and I’m sure he’d love to see the people I endured for 4 years…..we shall see. I’ll be sure to keep you posted.  :-)

Senior Prom!!!

Apparently I was VERY happy about graduating.
I have NO recollection of this being taken.

I'll go with you, but for $120 we are ordering 4 drinks at a time during the open bar hour. Plus, I can have your back in case you get in another brawl this time.

Mercifully, I have very few memories anymore of high school days. I find it fascinating that people on face book are intrigued to talk to me - I recall nobody would give me the time of day in high school!

Fuck - I've avoided most of those people for almost 30 years. I'm certainly not paying to see them.

I mean - it would be great to make out w/a guy in front of them just to make them feel uncomfortable, but....

I'm w/Ur-spo. While it wasn't total hell, no one bothred to acknolwedge me, so I'm not doing it for them now.

Having been a big old sissy-mary-la-la band geek in high school, the LAST thing I'd want to do, is revisit the guards at the asylum. No. Thank. You.

Personally I can't bear the thought of ever attending a high school reunion.

I really didn't like High School and even if folks change, I really don't have any desire to see them now.
