A dash of craziness...

There must be something in the air today because things are CRAZY!!!

I’m trying my damnedest to get work done, but the #*$%&#@ servers keep crashing, making it impossible to get anything done.
Talk about frustrating.

Anyway….aside from the usual work annoyances, things are going well with me.

Jim and I had a very nice weekend full of family, friends, and softball. The weather has been cooperating (it’s pretty darn hot today) and our pool is being opened in TWO DAYS!!!
Yahoo!!!!

We have a meeting with a landscaper this evening to talk about how much it will cost to have them come and mulch all our gardens. Jim has done it in the past, and it’s SO much work that we’d really like to let the pros take care of it this year. He’s already done a ton of work around the yard so it would be nice to give him a break for once. And I know what you’re thinking…….however, there is no WAY that I’m going to get out there and do it. We’re trying to make it look good, remember?
I’ll do anything in the yard, but making things look prettied up is NOT my forte. Trust me.

We also have a meeting this week to get an estimate for how much it would cost to pave the driveway. Since we had a bunch of trees removed (crap, I keep meaning to post those before and after pictures) we’re planning on not only paving the driveway, but making it larger. I hope it’s not too much money, because having that major project out of the way would make me very happy.

OK – I have to go rough some people up and get them to fix my servers…..this is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
:-)

Have a great day.

Soon, Scooter......soon......

Does Scooter love to spend all afternoon swimming until he's exhausted? Our old dog Dahlia LOVED the pool. She would do anything to be able to jump in, and swimming with her was immense fun for us. Greg and I used to toss a tennis ball back and forth between us while Dahlia would keep swimming and swimming trying to get it. We'd let her get it every once in a while so she wouldn't lose interest. She was in heaven playing that game! Our next dog, Persephone, never liked the water, which was odd because they were both standard poodles (waterfowl dogs).

Scooter would be in the water all day, every day, if we let him. In fact, if someone is outside by the pool and he's not out there with them he goes out of his mind.
However, he won't go into the water unless someone is in there already, which is a good thing.
He'll be thrilled to have it opened again.

I love house projects but I haven't planned any recently. Good luck with yours.

The only thing on my horizon is to get a music wall up in my house. I have some black and white pop icons that I want to create a semi museum - like Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Tina Turner, John Lennon - to name a few.

I'm just so tired on weekends so it;s hard to get it done!
