Get back to work!!!!

Yes, it's true. Yesterday, I returned to work, and I SURVIVED!

To be honest, and I think I said this before, I wasn't so much worried about missing Zachary as I was just dreading coming back to work in general and having to pick up where I left off. :-)

However, I will say that I didn't come back to a nightmare of a situation, which made things a lot easier. People really took care of things while I was out, so it made everything a lot more manageable.

As for everything at home - things continue to go well. We're getting by on what little sleep we're getting, although we really can't complain becuase he's such a good baby. He's going a good 4-5 hours between feedings, which is HUGE.

I don't know how we'd do it if we had a screaming baby who only let us sleep for an hour or two at a time. Thankfully, he's either eating, sleeping, or quietly observing his surroundings....yes - we are aware and truly appreciate how lucky we are!!!

For those of you who were worried about how Scooter is getting along these days, have no fear!!! He really seems to enjoy having Zachary around, and whoever isn't holding Zach, is generally holding/paying attention to Scooter. :-)

I have to get back to work, but here are a few pictures, just to prove my point.

Here he is about to take off with the bone that Joanne gave him. Playing "Chase" is always a favorite of his. (Thanks again, Joanne!!)

Trying a bib on for size...

If Zachary isn't in the Boppy...you can be sure that Scooter will be.

Finally, for those who may have been wondering.....the beard has returned.

A few days off work and the beard comes back? Will you keep it? It's looking good...
I'm very glad that Zachary's so nice (knock on wood).

You look hot with that beard John - and all that gray in it! Which is only going to get worse now that you have a kid. Good thing you lost your hair before you adopted. hee-hee

Congrats on the fatherhood thing. At least your new arrive is letting you and Jim get some sleep.

OMG! I've not been keeping up with blog reading and am thrilled to hear of the new little one at your house. OMG. Life as you knew it has ended. And it will be the most wonderful journey (most of the time).

Congratulations and blessings! Get some sleep.

(Beard? fab. hot. woof)
