In the news.....

Here it is folks!

I'm glad that it's available for viewing on line, especially since my dad and step-mother are in Florida and missed seeing it 'live'.  In addition to my them missing it, my older sister and her family were in Florida visiting my dad, so they missed it as well.  Not to mention all the people I know who are scattered across the country who will now be able to see it....all youse guys included.

I hope you all had a great day yesterday!!
I'm at work today and I'm literally the ONLY person here.
My entire floor is empty.  :-)

Here's the story!!!

It's official!!!

As of 11:30am (or so) on Friday, November 18th, Zachary became OFFICIALLY ours.  :-)

We were lucky enough to be part of National Adoption Day, which was above and beyond what we could have ever imagined.
From the moment we arrived at the courthouse, we were pretty much attacked by the press wanting to get our picture, interview us, film us, etc...etc..  Apparently two good looking guys and a very cute baby make good press....if I may say so.  ;-)
Seriously though, we were totally taken off guard by the amount of attention we got, but all in all, it was an amazing day.

For those of you in the Boston area - Jim, Zachary, and I are going to be 'featured' (what this means exactly, I don't know) the 6pm news tomorrow night (Channel 7 - WHDH, Thursday 11/24).  Local reporter (and a favorite of Jim and I) Nicole Oliverio is going to be at Jim's mother's house tomorrow afternoon to get some footage of our family, and to interview the three of us. As I mentioned before, I really have no idea what the segment will turn out to be like, but we're pretty excited either way.
The news crew (Nicole and her camera men) were at the courthouse on Friday, and came into the courtroom with us for the actual ceremony - so I imagine that will be part of the feature as well.
It's all very exciting, and we're looking forward to it - so be sure to watch if you can!
Of course, if it ends up being on line (which I imagine it will be) I'll be sure to post it here.

I hope you all have a GREAT Thanksgiving - and I'll be back here to report what happens tomorrow!!!

Remember me?

Is anybody there???...Is anybody there????...Is anybody there????
(Echo??? Echo??? Echo???)

I know - it's been a L*O*N*G time since I've blogged, and I apologize, but I did say that things were going to be different with my new location, responsibilities, etc.....so, I hope all is forgiven.

BELIEVE ME - I don't like it one bit....but, that's the way it goes.  :-)

Let's see....there have been quite a few exciting things happening since I last wrote.

I took part in a reading of a new musical called 'Glory' - which was written and directed by some local Boston folks.  It was a lot of fun to be a part of, and I think the reading went quite well.
Such a fun group and super talented folks were involved.  Cool, cool, cool.

Then Jim, Zachary and I went on a mini-vacation to New Hampshire (North Conway) for a few days.
We stayed in a really nice house and had a great time.  We had to cut the trip a day short though, because we were expecting a snow storm, and we were in no position at all to be stranded up in the mountains of New Hampshire.  It turned out for the best though.  Since we left early, we were able to get home and get settled before having to jump back into 'real life'.  Not to mention the fact that and a lot of people all over New England were VERY much affected by the unseasonable snow storm.  Dodged that bullet!!

Jim opened in his production of the play 'Doubt' which was EXCELLENT.  He really is a great actor.  I know, I know, I'm married to him and everything, but I can be objective.  He did an excellent job.
He has only 2 more performances of the show and then he's done, so his life will be back to normal pretty soon as well.

Earlier this week, I took part in a fundraiser for SpeakEasy Stage Company which was a ton of fun to be in.  It's their yearly show in which local performers perform musical numbers from shows/roles in which they'd never be cast.  I was lucky enough to play one of the Von Trapp children in a rousing performance of 'Do-Re-Mi'.  As you can expect, it was quite fun and all for a good cause.
The ridiculously talented and hysterically funny Varla Jean Merman is in Boston right now performing in SpeakEasy's production of 'The Divine Sister'.  If you're in the area and are at all interested in seeing it, buy your tickets now!  I saw it last week and loved it.
I have to say that Varla (Jeffery Roberson) was such a nice person to be around.  He was super-friendly and was more than happy to have the group of us (who were in the benefit) take over his dressing room for two nights while we were performing.  He's SUCH a great guy....and good lord....watching the work that goes into 'becoming' Varla?!?!?  Amazing.

Anyway - that's all for now....I still plan on filming another a video blog, so don't give up on me yet!!!
